Sonia Sofer is a program manager and AI strategist with a background in international relations, economics, and emerging technologies. She holds degrees from the University of San Diego and has completed advanced studies in Artificial Intelligence at MIT Sloan, focusing on the ethical and strategic implications of AI in global contexts.

Professionally, Sonia has led cross-functional AI initiatives at Google and Amazon, managing programs in consumer robotics and AR/VR. Her work has centered on using data-driven insights and ethical frameworks to guide product development, while ensuring compliance with privacy, transparency, and fairness—key pillars in applying AI to sensitive or underserved communities.

She has also overseen large-scale data collection efforts at TransPerfect and Lionbridge, working with diverse global teams to support inclusive AI systems. These experiences have reinforced her commitment to developing technology that serves both innovation and social impact.

Sonia contributes to the Transatlantic AI eXchange and advises startups on ethical AI practices, bringing a unique perspective at the intersection of technology, community development, and international collaboration.
