Assoc. Prof. Elira Turdubaeva holds a PhD in Media and Communications. She’s worked at various universities, including American University of Central Asia, and founded the Online University in Kyrgyzstan and the Association of Communicators in Kyrgyzstan.

She was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Miami in the 2024-2025 academic year. Currently, she is a Marie Curie Researcher at the University of Bremen, Bremen, Germany. Her research focuses on media, AI, and civic engagement in Central Asia.
